His work is collectly by people all over the country who admire his subtle methodology for communication of culture and style.

However, Mark Crow grew up in a tough neighborhood and the influences of his early environment often reflect in his artworks. Sometimes, the affect of his surroundings piece the identity of his work slightly and other times, the affect is glaring with predominate African American themes of struggle or decision making.

Mark attempts to take the viewer on a journey through his substantial body of work that embodies not a sequence of lines and color that signifies mood but also a life story - a story that many are not familiar. Through his paintings, Mark hopes that people can feel his journey which he calls ""The Onion Principle".
